Associazione Culturale Il Castello
Under the guidance of brother and sister Guido and Eloisa Iafrate (both of whom still live in the historic centre), the Cultural Association organises as many events as possible throughout the year to bring people into the village and experience its ancient history and culture.
Some of the major events are:
The Processione di Madonna di Loreto:
A procession carrying the statue of the Madonna up from the little chapel, the sanctuary of the Madonna di Loreto, to the village Church of Santo Stefano followed by two days of religious and community celebrations (July)
Fontana Lirica:
A classical music and opera event help in the village square opposite the church usually featuring the renowned opera singer, Maria Luigia Borsi who was born in Fontana Liri (July)
Polenta e Non Solo:
In part to celebrate the feast of the immaculate conception but also a chance to enjoy polenta and other local dishes in the village square (December)
Le Cantine del Castello
A tour of the streets of the historic centre with stalls selling local dishes cooked by the inhabitants.
